Step Up is not just a dance studio….it is a Family! Christine and Christina truly care about every child that walks through the door. My daughter loves it there and her technique has improved leaps and bounds since we came here. Christina and the other instructors are the best in town and really teach correct technique while making sure the kids learn to love the art of dance. I can’t say enough wonderful things about this studio!
Want to have your child enriched with a life of performing arts? Then you need to meet Christine and Christina! These women have put together a studio that teaches a dance curriculum that is focused on dance technique, not just routines or costumes. The instructors build a solid foundation and expand with proper form and technique. They make each child feel special and incorporate special needs classes for children with special needs. They offer a wide variety of classes from toddler ballet to adult ballet. My children love the studio and next year my daughter will be proudly representing the company by competing! I am proud to say we are a part of a studio that is truly a family. If you are looking for a studio that is not about dollar signs but about children, dance, art, music, etc. come and meet Christine and Christina they are part of our family now.
This Studio has to be the best studio I have brought my daughter to. The studio is beautiful and kept very, very clean. Joel and Christina, what can I say, they are caring teachers who truly have the best interest of their students at heart. It is a very calming relaxing studio with excellent costumer service. The owners really care about their students. I am so happy to have such a fabulous studio to finally be able to go to.
Thank you for everything you both have done for us and in being such a positive influence and presence in life for the past 3 years. The studio truly has become her second home. They say it takes a village to raise a child and you both have really been there to help develop her into the young lady she has become. Congratulations for putting on an amazing show! Having taught speech and drama, I am aware of the exhausting amount of preparation needed to organize such a large performance. You have some very talented students, who gave truly inspiring performances. The little ones were absolutely adorable. I was most moved however, by the participation of the ‘special needs’ class.
How miraculous it was to see a shy young girl who lacked confidence, get on stage, dance, shimmy and SMILE today while being in the spotlight. That was my girl today!!! Thanks to both of you and your teachers for taking that small oyster, prying open its shell and allowing a pearl to emerge.
Went to the 2012 Showcase for Step Up Academy of the Arts this afternoon. I cannot express how much I enjoyed it and how wonderful it was! I was SO impressed with the performances. I’ve never seen a recital themed like it – they told the story beginning to end with song and dance, mixing seasoned dancers with little ones. A truly top notch production!!
Love, understanding, knowledge, patience, dedication, heart are just a few ways to describe the WONDERFUL staff from Step Up Academy. To providing scholarships to underprivileged children, studio funded sleep overs at the studio, private one on sessions, this studio is incredible. I am a professionally trained dancer and have spent my career on some of the most prestigious shows on Broadway to leading roles in major productions on the strip. I have never been so impressed. I have visited the studio many times with my sister and niece and am blown away at their dedication. The way one of the instructors, Christina, motivates sometimes distracted preteen girls is done with the discipline of an Army General, the love of a Saint, and motivation on par with Zig Ziegler is under appreciated by most parents. They are providing an environment where these kids enjoy what they are doing along with maturing into young adults. Top that with her absolute mind numbing dance skills that she easily conveys to her students. Their rapid advancement can definitely be attributed to their ability to do what MOST dance studios can only wish for. Keep up the great work.
Step Up Academy of the Arts has opened their doors for my daughter with special needs and many other girls like her. Because of them, my daughter has the opportunity to participate in a dance class just like typical children. Thank you Ms. Christina for being a wonderful teacher and caring for our children that often times do not get these kind of opportunities.
